Birthday Parties at WCHS
Bring the celebration to our shelter and party with pets!
Washington County Humane Society offers fur-filled birthday party options for kids aged 6-13. Our Pawty Package includes many entertainment amenities that will make your event stress free. Allowing WCHS to host your event benefits the shelter, too! Proceeds from your special day go directly toward the animals in our care.
Pawty Package - $250
Includes:
- 2.5-hour rental of the Sylvia Lutz Training Center (includes 1 hour for set-up and 30 minutes for take-down, 4 hours total)
- A 35' x 45' space with garbage/recycling bins, tables, and up to 30 chairs
- Space for 15 guests (not including adult chaperones)
- Fridge and freezer (available upon request)
- 45 minutes of entertainment, including an educational presentation about sheltering, tour of the facility, and a meet 'n' greet with one or more animals
- A WCHS staff member on-site
- Music: bring your own or borrow our laptop and Spotify account

Ask us about any accommodations we can make to enhance the day. Surprise the guests with the birthday person walking out with an adoptable pet!
Availability
Birthday parties can take place during the following time frames:
- Mondays between 1–7pm
- Wednesdays between 1–8pm
- Thursdays between 1–5pm
- Fridays between 1–5pm
- Saturdays between 10am–5pm
- Sundays between 11am–5pm

Guests are responsible for decorating the event space. We budget 1 hour beforehand for you to go nuts! The theme and level of décor are entirely up to you. Please be sure to leave the room in tip-top shape at the end of your event.

1pm – Setup
2pm – Event starts
2-2:30pm – Food and beverages
2:30-2:50pm – Educational presentation
2:50-3:20pm – Tour of the facility
3:20-3:45 – Meet ‘n’ greet with animal(s)
3:45pm – Cake
4pm – Presents
4:30pm – Event ends
4:30-5pm – Clean up
Yes! Guests are welcome to use a private bathroom located in the classroom, right next to the event space.
